Terms & Conditions
Prufrock Barista Training Centre (‘Prufrock Training’) courses, events, workshops and gift cards are bound by these terms and conditions. By booking to attend a course, event or workshop, or purchasing a gift card, you are agreeing to be bound by the terms and conditions below. Please note these ‘Terms and Conditions’ may be subject to change without notice.
Pricing and Dates

- For current workshop costs and dates, please submit a booking request via our website, www.prufrocktraining.com
- Before booking a course or workshop, please make sure you have read the description and content, to ensure that it will meet your needs.
- Upon receipt of your booking and subsequent payment, your place(s) will be confirmed.
Important note: Prufrock Training’s acceptance of your booking brings into existence a legally binding contract between us on these terms and conditions. Any term sought to be imposed by you in any purchase order or correspondence will not form part of the contract.
Courses
Booking and Payment
- Course fees are payable upon booking.
- For private courses, Prufrock Training requires receipt of the full payment five (5) working days before the private course takes place.
- The fee for private courses includes a non-refundable deposit of 25% of the full course fee.
- Receipts and booking information will be issued via two separate emails once payment has been made and your booking is confirmed.
- Please ensure you read the two emails thoroughly;

Cancellation Policy
Regular courses
- For regular courses, you can cancel your booking or move it to a different date if you notify Prufrock Training at least five (5) working days before the date of your course.
- If you have booked an SCA Barista Skills Foundation course and have started the online course on our Learning Platform, you will only be eligible to move your course to a different date.
- You can reschedule your course to a new date a maximum of three (3) times. After three (3) date changes you will need to make a new booking to attend a future course.
- If you become ill and cannot attend your course, please let us know via email as soon as possible and at least two hours before the start of your course, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
- Please note that if you do not let us know that you are not attending at least two hours before the start of your course, you will need to make a new booking to attend a future course.
- Fees will be refunded to the original payment method.
- If, for whatever reason, you book and are unable to attend, you may send a substitute.
- In the event of there being insufficient numbers booked onto a course, Prufrock Training reserves the right to cancel or postpone the course.
- In the event of cancellation of a course by Prufrock Training, we will endeavour to inform all attendees a week before it is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible.
- All fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another Prufrock Training course.
- Prufrock Training shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc.
Private Courses
- For Private Courses, you can cancel your booking or move it to a different date if you notify Prufrock Training at least five (5) working days before the date of your course.
- This excludes the 25% deposit paid on Private Course bookings.
- Fees will be refunded to the original payment method.
- In the event of cancellation of a course by Prufrock Training, we will endeavour to inform all attendees a week before it is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible.
- All fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another Prufrock Training course.
- Prufrock Training shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc.
Workshops & Team Building Events
Booking & Payments
- Workshops are paid via invoice.
- Prufrock Training requires receipt of a deposit of 25% of the full price for the booking to be confirmed. The deposit is non-refundable.
- Prufrock Training requires full payment of the remaining 75% for the workshop five (5) working days before the workshop takes place.
- Upon your acceptance of the quote and subsequent payment of the deposit, your booking will be confirmed.
- We will request your company details to arrange for a deposit invoice.
- Please note that if your workshop is taking place within one (1) month of invoicing, the deposit and remaining payment will be included on the same invoice.
- The event date and time will be held for five (5) working days prior to us receiving your company details, and then another five (5) working days for the deposit to be paid.
- If we do not receive company details and payment within these stated times, your requested event date and time will open up for other bookings.
Cancellation Policy
- Refunds of fees for cancellations of workshops will be honoured where more than five (5) working days’ notice is provided. This excludes the 25% deposit.
- Fees will be refunded to the original payment method.
- In the event of cancellation of a workshop by Prufrock Training, we will endeavour to inform the booking contact person a week before it is due to take place, although please be aware that this is not always possible.
- All fees paid will be reimbursed in full, or the payment will be transferred in full to another Prufrock Training workshop.
- Prufrock Training shall not accept liability for any consequential loss and shall have no liability to reimburse any other costs that may have been incurred, including transport costs, accommodation etc.
Force Majeure
Prufrock Training shall not be liable for refund of fees or for any other penalty should the course, event or workshop be cancelled due to war, fire, strike lock-out, industrial action, tempest, accident, civil disturbance or any other cause whatsoever beyond their control.
Gift Card Policy
- Upon purchasing a gift card you have fourteen (14) days to cancel your purchase and receive a full refund.
- This request can only be made by the original purchaser of the gift card and all fees will be refunded to the original payment method.
- After this period Prufrock Training & Consulting does not refund gift card purchases.
- Gift cards are valid for one (1) year from purchase.
- If a gift card is used to pay for a course or event, any refund due to cancellation will be refunded back onto the gift card.
- Gift cards cannot be exchanged for cash.
Entire Agreement
These terms and conditions, together with the current Prufrock Training website prices, workshop details and contact details, set out the whole of our agreement. These terms and conditions cannot be varied except in writing signed by a Director of Prufrock Training.
In particular, no terms and conditions incorporated within your purchase order and nothing said by any person on behalf of Prufrock Training should be understood as a variation of these terms and conditions or as an authorised representation of the nature or quality of any goods or services offered for sale by Prufrock Training. Prufrock Training shall have no liability for any such representation being untrue or misleading.
